We had the venison and the duck, and they were both delicious. I thought the prices were very good for the portion sizes and the quality of food. You couldn't get anything like that in Calgary for that price! The drinks were great as well, and the ambiance is very very nice.

The ambience of 502 South and the service are very nice no loud music or annoying television screens. The presentation of the food was pleasing. I ordered a confit of duck leg. Having some idea about this dish I would have preferred it more tender rather than just cooked, also the relation between meat and bone was a bit unsatisfactory.

Absolutely terrible service. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life!

AVERAGE AT BEST. FOOD WAS OKAY BUT HAD MINIMAL PORTIONS FOR PRICE. SEATS WERE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

way too expensive for what you get. I can feed my family for the price of one plate and probably get more food. Very dissapointed.

My current favourite place to dine in the Hat! If you are looking for high quality, and a well thought-out menu,this is the place. The smoked pork is to die for, and the only restaurant in my entire life that has prepared goat cheese that I actually liked!

If your looking for a culinary experience, then 502 South is your restaurant of choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, our waitress was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful. The ambience is such a nice change, a very unique restaurant for Medicine Hat and a much needed change from the many chain restaurants. It's nice to have something so special here, I hope that many will help make this restaurant a success. The atmosphere is for fine dining so please let us keep it that way with making it special by showing appreciation by dressing accordingly. (no jeans please!!) The uniqueness of the food is what makes it so special, from Venison to Lamb to Arctic Char everything was excellent. Great presentation of the food and lets realize we are not at a 40 foot buffet, this is dining with elegance, so appreciate the wonderful flavours and originality. This is definetly the best food I have tasted in our town!!

Easily the best food in town. Portions could be a little bigger and service is decent. The atmosphere is exceptional and I will make this my fine dining destination whenever the chance arises.

Very good food and service. Trendy decor. All the food on the menu looks so good. I had the creme brulee for dessert, which was really good. There is a martini bar attached to the restaurant that makes great martinis. The dragonfly martini is delicious. Make a reservation, to make sure you get a table.
